Storage, Handling, and Usage Protocol

• Surface Protection: The boards are usually supplied with a PE protective film on one or both sides. This film should remain in place during cutting and drilling to prevent mechanical surface abrasions.
• Storage Alignment: Boards must be stored horizontally on flat pallets. Avoid leaning panels against walls for extended periods, as this will induce permanent curvature due to the material's thermoplastic nature.
• Cutting Parameters: Use carbide-tipped circular saw blades with a high tooth count (60-80 teeth for a 250mm blade) to prevent edge chipping.
• Thermal Expansion Management: PVC has a coefficient of linear expansion. When installing in outdoor or variable temperature environments, allow for oversized pilot holes for fasteners to accommodate material movement.
• Chemical Compatibility: Avoid contact with thinners containing high concentrations of MEK (Methyl Ethyl Ketone) or esters, which can soften or dissolve the PVC substrate.
